Excellence in Agricultural Education and Research

Welcome to the Faculty of Agriculture, COOU

Since our establishment in 2006, the Faculty of Agriculture at Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University has been committed to producing quality graduates that will assist the nation in reducing the rising rate of unemployment through self-employment and job creation. The degree programmes of the Faculty of Agriculture COOU are tailored towards producing graduates with the necessary theoretical knowledge and practical skills that will enable them to be self-employed, create jobs, or compete favorably with their mates in the public sector. During the 5-year programme, the student is expected to experience a 6-month industrial training (SIWES) in the 4th year, take courses in his/her area of specialization, and complete a project in the final year.

Full Accreditation Achieved

Food Science & Technology and Fisheries & Aquaculture received FULL accreditation at FIRST attempt in January 2022 by NUC
